Will’s 20+ years of outdoor experience include 10 in Search and Rescue. He is a member of the International Society of Professional Trackers (ISPT) and is an Operational Tracker and Assistant Director of the Search and Rescue Tracking Institute (SARTI). Will is also a member of Commonwealth Search and Rescue and the Training Officer of Carroll County Search and Rescue. Will teaches animal tracking, short term survival, use of wild plants, etc. as a volunteer instructor for such organizations as the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries, Girl Scouts of America and Boy Scouts of America. Will resides in Southwest Virginia.
Rusty has 20 plus years of outdoor experience to include 20 years of hunting, fishing and hiking; 7 years of Search and Rescue and 10 years of law enforcement. He is currently a member of Carroll County Search and Rescue and a former member of SARTI. He is an instructor with the Department of Criminal Justice Services specializing in Lost/Missing/Abducted persons and Alzheimer’s awareness. He is a certified medic and has been involved in the fire/ems world for 13 years. He has served on numerous missions for lost, missing or abducted persons and has recently taken on the endeavor of assistant instructor with the Tracking Services Group. Rusty resides with his family in Southwest Virginia.
Barbara has many years of outdoor experience. She enjoys sharing her love of camping, fishing, hunting, canoeing and kayaking with others. She became an American Canoe Association (ACA) certified Level 2 Kayaking instructor in 2008. She has been a volunteer instructor with the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries since 2006—teaching Hunter Education, archery, safe use of firearms, survival, outdoor cooking, GPS and map and compass skills. She holds a Virginia Class 1 Wastewater Treatment Operators License and a Class 1 Water Treatment Operators License. She resides with her family in central Virginia.
Debbie has a lifetime of outdoor experience, starting as a child living on the outskirts of the Adirondack Mountains. She has volunteered with the Tidewater Appalachian Trail Club, VA Department of Game and Inland Fisheries as an instructor, and has hiked and backpacked many miles on U.S. soil and in Scotland. She enjoys most outdoor adventures; learning about wine with friends; traveling and reading. She lives in Southeastern Tidewater with her husband.
